Interior decorating spring inspirations

Here are just a few rooms that I have found interesting and particularly like. I think the older I get I am tapping into more on my asian side. I just love this turquoise room with all the asian accents. Spring is here and bring colors are all I can think about. Look at the other room below. 

Look at all the bright, light and airy colors. You can see the blue in the back ground and green in the bath. Theses are what I call happy colors, natural and soothing. These colors are great for getting the spring feel all year round. 

Stripes!!!

I have always liked painting stripes on my walls. I think stripes can create so much for a space then people realize. General rule for stripes, vertical stripes makes a room look taller and horizontal stripes makes your room look bigger. Here are some examples enjoy and I hope this may be inspirational.

DIY Projects

I just love Do It Yourself Projects. First of all it is such an accomplishment when it is all done and, more than likely, you are keeping under budget. Sometimes reinventing something you already have is the best way to go. Here are some projects that I have worked on for my own home.

I have become a frequent shopper at Goodwill. If you don't know what Goodwill is, you are missing out. Goodwill is a non profit organization that takes donated goods and sell them to make funds to help the community.

I got this beauty from Goodwill for $5.

I sanded it down just a bit and painted it black. There used to be a mirror in the middle but it was missing. I added a white board that I purchased from Home Depot for pretty cheap. All in all this project cost me about a total of $10. Pretty good right?

Beautifully Purple

Lately I have been doing a lot of "beautifying" to my home. I have decided that purple is a much needed color for me in my house at least somewhere. I love these purple rooms and how they bring so much contrast. 

I love how this room features different shades of purple I perhaps is too shy to create a room that is so monochromatic, but I do admire how this room is put together. 

This feels like a more Asian style room with touches of Purple. 

This is someone what I based my Master bedroom color schemes off of. I love the combination of natural browns with the purple. It tone s down the purple a lot so it is not a totally feminine room. 

Don't be afraid to try bold colors. Just make sure that you don't over do the darks.

Wall Art

I thought this was so perfect! We just got a house and plan to paint the main living room Gray like this. The problem was what was I going to do with the hall way to the bedrooms because it is all part of the "common area". This is my solution. Stay tune for my version coming November.

Getting Started

Wow, I cannot believe I am really doing this!!! Starting my own thing? Who would have knew. My story started when I was living in Taiwan. I guess you can say that my mother has inspired me to love design. I remember having a conversation with her about a room in our place, and that was when she told me that if you put a mirror in a room it would make the room look bigger. I was hooked on that idea and thought it was the coolest thing at age....I think I was 10. Ever since that momment I have just been facinated with everything interior. I want to bring beauty, class, or what ever gives you the warm and fuzzies to your home. This is my passion. I love it and I will do it for a living. My dream come true. :)
